Cobalt Razor

Cobalt Razor Brings the Rebellious Spirit of Punk Rock Music

Cobalt Razor is the punk-rock project driven by Razor, a lifelong music enthusiast who continues to write, record, and perform loud music at 60. Rooted in the rebellious spirit of the original UK punk movement, Cobalt Razor combines sharp guitars, pounding rhythms, infectious hooks, and an uncompromising attitude with a distinctly modern perspective.

Cobalt Razor – “Seventy Six” Brings Punk Rock Energy

Cobalt Razor returns with “Seventy Six,” a song from the album Still Loud that proves that post-punk and punk rock can nevertheless hit with real urgency. From the first track, the guitars come in sharp and taut, while the rhythm section drives everything forward with a tight, assured pulse. The male voice is immature but controlled, carrying the kind of authentic grit that leans you in close instead of turning down the volume

At just under three minutes, the track wastes no time and leaves no filler, which is what makes it so replayable. Each refrain is built for a full room, and it’s a hook that sticks in your head long after the last chord fades. There’s a depressing part here for fanatics of traditional mud electric, yet the production sounds clean, clear and contemporary. Cobalt Razor balances rebellion and passion fantastically, and the result is a track that feels every bit as touching and powerful. If you adore guitar-driven songs with soul, this deserves a spot on your playlist.
