New South Coast band Blofeld Sands released their debut single ‘People’ and it was picked up on Radio X by John Kennedy who described the track as “An instant banger” and Steve Lamacq at BBC Radio 6 said this about the track “I liked this within 20 seconds”.
The band released their second single, Never Been Easy, on April 7, 2025.. This track is a gorgeously shimmering slice of indie-rock, a chiming and indeed charming sonic experience that borders on the dreamier fringes of shoegaze whilst holding its own in indie’s sonic waters. A high tempo beat and everything driving forward instrumentally – guitar, bass, drums – while the hook is repeated and is undeniably catchy. There is something of an epic feel tothe track.
