Atraktöra Unleashes Powerful New Music from Finland
Hailing from Tornio, Finland, Atraktöra is a formidable force in the extreme metal underground. Founded in 2022 by guitarist and vocalist Niko Uusitalo and drummer Jyri Kvist, the band solidified its lineup in 2024 with the addition of bassist Jaakko Palokangas. Drawing inspiration from the ferocious intensity of Kanonenfieber, the melancholic darkness of early Sentenced, and the thrashing aggression of Sodom, Atraktöra has forged a sound that balances relentless heaviness with atmospheric depth and emotional resonance.
Operating completely independently without label support, the trio represents the raw determination of the DIY metal spirit, crafting music that prioritizes artistic vision over commercial compromise. Their commitment to creating a cohesive sonic journey rather than simply delivering speed and brutality sets them apart in a crowded genre landscape.

Atraktöra Delivers Crushing New Music with Its Debut Album
Atraktöra‘s self-titled debut is a steady slab of Finnish finale, fusing the icy ferocity of black metal with the crushing weight of death metal and the raw urgency of thrash From hole riffs, the album refuses to ease listeners, alternatively tremolo-picked guitars, blast-beat drumming, and And drags in a maelstrom of brutal male voices that growl and scream in equal measure and the production strikes a rare consistency: raw enough to preserve a groundbreaking piece of style, yet clear enough that every instrument cuts through the chaos.
What makes this report stand out is its sense of movement. The tracks never lose synchrony between punishing speed and darker, more atmospheric passages, giving the album a true story arc instead of a set of discrete attacks Atraktöra doesn’t just borrow from black, doom and thrash — it fuses them into something that feels remarkably its own. That’s an important concentration for fans who crave something unyielding and hard-hitting.
