🎵 Http//:riri “blue.” Brings Fresh New Music and Emotion
Okay, so I finally sat “blue.” With the help of Http//:riri, and really, I wasn’t prepared for how expensive it gave me. Eleven songs, all of them residing somewhere between hip-hop, R&B, trap, and emo rap, with a sliver of practice creeping in here and there. Autotune would not feel like a gimmick. It feels a little like bleeding, and that’s what makes it stick.
What I love about it is that it’s always moody without being heavy. The beats are knocking, the melodies are catchy, yet the songs have room to breathe. It’s the kind of album that works on a late-night time drive, but you’re scrolling or cleaning your room. Nothing feels rushed or thrown in to fill space, that’s rare these days. You can tell the artist that was approximately thinking about how it fit together. If you’re into melodic rap with a little side, do yourself a favor and press play. I’m guessing at least one song ends up rotating you through the weekend.
