“Wicked Tongue” is the kind of song that sneaks up on you. Jetlag dropped it as a single on July 29, and from the first few seconds, it’s clear this isn’t just another alt-rock track chasing a formula. There’s a glam-ish swagger running through the guitars, but it never tips into excess. It stays melodic, a little dreamy, almost cinematic in how the layers build. The male vocals carry real weight here too, not oversung, just steady and clear, letting the lyrics do the work while the instrumental swells around them.
What I keep coming back to is how naturally the song moves between moods. One moment, it’s indie pop, light, and catchy.
