Joey P. (Joseph Pacius) is a Chicago-based underground artist known for his evolving blend of R&B and his signature “astral RnB” sound. Joey P.’s “Playboy” Brings Alternative R&B Music 🎶

Some EPs catch you in concentration at first, and Joey P. doesn’t. Its “Playboy” is definitely one of them. It sits somewhere between occasional indie R&B, soul, artwork and pop, with a tactile hip-hop swagger thrown in. His vocals are the first issue you say a word to: clean, heat, and sincere, the kind that feels like it’s talking straight to you. There’s a touch of blue-eyed soul within the way he sings, moody, massive production and we’ll watch every gasp. ✨

What I love most is how he balances vulnerability with confidence. One moment he’s singing softly and melodically, the next he’s slipping into a loose rap and going with the flow, and it doesn’t feel pressured in any way. It all sounds unpublic, elegant, and definitely easy to confuse if you enjoy alternative R&B or artists who refuse to stick to one genre, then this one is for you. Put all that past-night through the car or a quiet night at home, and you absolutely want to hit the game again.
