Johan Smits aka John Smyths was born in March 1961 in the old town of Nijmegen and was introduced to the world of music by his parents and older brother. Although it wasn’t the kind of music he liked, it was music. When his wild years were over, he got more and more into country music and listened to Conway Twitty, Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, Kenny Rogers, Tammy Wynette and so on.
For 2025, John Smyths was on stage in Viechtach (Bavaria), Gerolstein, Stolberg, Wolfhagen, Nijmegen (NL) and many more. He has been awarded for his song “Loving you makes me a better Man” at the Red Carpet Show International in Wageningen (NL) where he also was on stage. Another nomination was done by “the Elite Music Awards” in the States He released his single at the end of August, called “Now I’m Wiser” which got great critics all over the world.
