During high school, after saving enough money, they invested in a MidiPlus AK490 Midi Keyboard, stepping beyond the limitations of a laptop keyboard to craft richer, more nuanced soundscapes. In the years that followed, their setup expanded with the addition of an Audio-Technica AT2020 condenser microphone, replacing earlier low-quality recordings with clear, professional-grade vocals.
Krissy Adaluz said: “In the Medium” is the most brooding song on the album, as it directly unmasks the more distressing moments of my life and doesn’t shy away from them. Both the lyrics and the music are heavier and darker than any of the other tracks. The reverberating
bass, resonant drums, tremolo strings, and the undercurrent of electricity help cultivate that mood. I also incorporated an ambient
synth in the background that truly reminded me of the opening screen sound from powering a PlayStation 2 console, which was an
important relic of my childhood.
