Malkotron Unveils Epic New Music with No Paradise
No paradise comes in the form of a style-defying victory, and Malkotron proves at other times that boundaries can be respected and not disrupted. Drawing on AOR polish, artwork rock ambition and folks rock warmth, the album weaves put up-rock texture and prog-rock complexity without ever losing its emotional center Tracks like “Woeful Dusk” and “Dusty Beams of Light” set a cinematic tone from the start, while “Sleep is Free” and “Lost and. Found” and others reveal a softer, extra introspective side The production is sweeping but intimate, epic in scale but by no means feeling distant.
What undoubtedly sets this record apart is the fearless embodiment of experimental electronic flourishes layered beneath rock instrumentals, giving songs like “Cogs Grinding Bones” and “Maybe God Forgot” a haunting, otherworldly vein of melody between “One Bad Day” and “Slender.” Threads” complexity showcases Malkotron‘s acting gifts, and the closer “No Paradise” leaves listeners long to realize that Which Paradise is a bold, fantastically layered adventure — one that rewards the affected person with listening and revisiting again and again
