Robots in Love: Powerful Electronic Rock Music

Robots in Love are an Aotearoa/New Zealand electronic rock duo consisting of Elenor Rayner (vocals, production) and Alex Burchell (drums, production). Combining precision and emotion, the duo creates powerful electronic rock influenced by industrial rock, dark electro, drum & bass, trip hop, goth, metal, cyberpunk, and progressive music.

🎶 Robots in Love Deliver Powerful New Music

I’ve had Robots in Love‘s “Cease and Desist” on repeat for a week now, and I’m still not tired of it. It opens with big, clean synths, then the guitars crash in and suddenly you’re hooked. It’s dark, dramatic and oddly catchy, the kind of synth indie rock that makes you want to drive somewhere at night with the windows down. From the first few seconds, the track pulls you in and keeps its grip.

For me, the star is Elenor Rayner’s voice. She sounds fearless, soaring above heavy, drum-driven electronics with a real sense of drama, yet there’s also a warmth to her that stops it from ever feeling cold or robotic. Alex Burchell’s drums and production give the whole thing a precise, cinematic scale without losing its heart. If you like fierce, epic, synth-driven rock, this is a great one for headphones. I’m already looking forward to hearing what they do next.
