Rush RGB‘s New Music “Top is Us” Makes a Powerful Statement
There’s something immediately catchy about “Top is Us.” Rush RGB isn’t comfortable in a song. They come with a beat that hits hard and dark from the first second, the kind of low-break that turns up the expansion without you thinking twice. Going with the flow sits perfectly in that pocket in which UK practice and greed blur en masse, one second clipped and squeezed, the next laid-back. It doesn’t feel forced in any way. You can tell there is someone who spends real time at the point of sale figuring out how their voice will sit against this kind of beat, not just following fashion.
What undoubtedly sells is attitude. The hook isn’t complicated, but he didn’t want to be; This is a line that gets caught in your head, which also makes sense blasting out of a car window. Nothing here feels overpowering or trying, just assured, perfectly-paced, and really fun to transport. Rush RGB sounds like someone building momentum, and “Top is Us” is a solid, catchy step in that course.
