🎵 Rusty ReidRusty Reid: “I Can See Clearly Now” Brings Fresh Music
I Can See Clearly Now definitely gets a solid treatment from Rusty Reid in this one. He continues to make that classic, true-to-the-feel electric tune famous, yet leans well into a softer, more acoustic gen-rock vibe that feels like his own. The vocals are warm and slightly worn out, in a big way — nothing catchy, just sincere singing that perfectly matches the angst of the song you can tell it wasn’t over-produced; it’s got that easy, relaxed sense wherein the song simply does its thing with out attempting too tough.
Which honestly stays proud of how much trouble that whole sounds like. Now not following anything trendy, just a steady groove this is definitely to sit with first class. If you’re into retro guitar pop or that traditional easy-listening sound, this cover is going to hit the spot. And even though you’ve heard the original a hundred times, Rusty Reid excavates what made it best within the first place in a way to give it fresh meaning again without being humorous. Definitely worth a concentrate.
