🎸 Under-Volt: “Over-Ride” Brings Heavy Rock Music

Under-Volt‘s “Over-Ride” grabs you by the collar from the first riff and won’t let you move. Blending blues grit with the muscle of prog and tough rock, the band carve out a sound that feels every bit as melancholy and fiercely modern. This is where the guitar work is nothing faster than a mouth-melt — rewarding an awesome pair of headphones that are layered, assured, and drenched in tone. Underneath it all, the male vocals bring a raw, settled satisfying that anchors the chaos and gives the track its emotional pulse.

What absolutely makes the “Over-Ride” an aside unit is its refusal to sit anyway. Just when you think you’ve settled into a groove, the song switches gears, pulling for the unpredictability of alternative rock to keep things fresh from start to full. It’s a sauce banger in every sense of the word — loud, unapologetic, and made for repeat listens. For fanatics of real chewy blues-tinged rock, Under-Volt have delivered a tune that more than earns its hot-tipped reputation. Turn that upside down.
