🎵 Edwina van Kuyk – “Here To Stay” New Music Review

Irish singer-songwriter Edwina van Kuyk is back with a brand new song “Here To Stay” on May 22, 2026. “Here To Stay” explores the instinct of protecting oneself from heartbreak. Edwina van Kuyk captures the worry that sustainability may not be at all: “I’ve kind of learned the hard way that there will never be all the varieties left, come to understand that leaving is on the way.”

Mixing sensitive piano melodies, cinematic strings, gospel-inspired beats and a swelling choir, the track each unfolds as an emotional confession and song of desire turned into writing using Cry Edwina van Kuyk and Sian O’Donoghe, who also produced the track. The track serves the St. Kevins Community College choir.

Edwina van Kuyk – Here To Stay (New Music Review)

Edwina van Kuyk’s “Here To Stay” is one of those tracks that doesn’t try too hard to impress you — it just slowly wins you over. Dad’s combination of pop and R&B sits in a really clean pocket, with a soft, modern-day production that feels warm rather than loud or flashy. Edwina’s voice is the real center here; It’s a form of quiet honesty, like she’s letting you in on something personal instead of acting distant. The overall vibe is intentionally relaxed though, and that balance clears to maintain replay.

What makes the music shine is its emotional simplicity. It’s about commitment, presence, and the quiet choice to stay in love or not with a lifestyle. Nothing feels overwritten or overproduced — just clear emotion translated into sound. The melody works slowly, almost like a breath with the lyrics, which lends the song an herbaceous, human touch. It’s not looking to be dramatic; It’s just real, and that’s why it works.
