Stephen Paul – Emotional Storytelling in Music
As both a songwriter and novelist, Stephen Paul approaches music much like fiction, building scenes instead of simply telling stories. Every verse reveals another snapshot, another memory, another piece of a relationship that once seemed unbreakable. By the time the final chorus arrives, listeners aren’t simply hearing one person’s heartbreak. They’re remembering their own.

D.D.R.– Never Forever Song Review
“Never Forever” doesn’t waste time getting into it. That opening riff hits hard, drums right behind it, and before you’ve even settled in, there’s this guitar solo ripping through — fast, technical, kind of reckless in the best way. It’s the kind of sound that makes you want to roll the windows down and just drive, with no destination in mind. Then the vocals show up with this warm, worn-in quality, straight out of that 80s hard rock playbook, and everything clicks. The verses hold back just enough to make the chorus land like a release — tension – then all of it let go at once.
Stephen Paul is the guy behindD.D.R., and you can tell he actually knows what he’s doing on guitar, but more than that, the song is built well. Nothing feels tacked on. Lyrically, it’s simple, but it sticks with you — the idea that “forever” doesn’t always mean forever and that not every good thing sticks around. That honesty, paired with the heavy riffs and driving rhythm underneath, makes this one worth playing more than once.
