RSM is a studio-based prog/fusion-rock project hailing from Lodz, Poland, built on years of musical friendship and shared creative vision. Led by composer and multi-instrumentalist Rafal Szewczyk on guitars and keys, the core trio includes bassist Marcin Blasiak and drummer Pawel Stepien, whose combined expertise brings depth and vitality to their intricate soundscapes. For their sophomore album, the group enlisted internationally-based guest artists vocalist and lyricist Kjetil Landsgard from Canada and saxophonist Hugo Lee from Australia—adding distinctive textures to their already eclectic sound.
Drawing from influences spanning jazz, progressive rock, and metal, RSM crafts music where each member contributes from their own background and heart, resulting in compositions that feel both technically accomplished and genuinely human. With Szewczyk handling composition and arrangement, and mixing/mastering duties entrusted to Grzegorz Mukanowski, this is a project that prioritizes authentic musicianship and uncompromising artistic vision over industry trends.
