🎸 Sean MacLeod Delivers Timeless New Music with “Inside Out”
“Inside Out (Radio Edit)” is a tune that feels instantly familiar without ever sounding tired from the outside. Sean MacLeod launched this radio edit on July 19, and it leans into that traditional Britpop lineage with real confidence, jangly guitars, big open chords and a refrain made to sing alongside from the very first spin There’s a warm temperature going on that recalls traditional rock songwriting, but the production maintains things crisp and modern-day. The vocals take a front and center seat, both direct and irreverent, playing melody with an ease that is most effective that comes from knowing exactly what a track needs.
The pruning radio editing format works in its preference right here, each stage earning its own territory, nothing overstaying its welcome. It moves easily between alt rock force and softer, melodic pop-rock moments in no way losing momentum to the side. There’s also an indie feel underneath the polish, a sense that it can as effortlessly cater to a small subscription as a competitive crowd. Sean MacLeod gives you music that is catchy on the floor and absolutely well-crafted underneath. Pay attention to a real feel-good.
