Barbaros Evin – Blue Eyed Wolf: Alt-Rock Music 🎸

Barbaros Evin: Raw Alternative Rock and New Music 🎸

Barbaros Evin is a London-based vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter with over two decades of experience playing and writing music across different bands. With “Blue Eyed Wolf,” he embarks on a deeply personal solo journey under the title “Follow the Path,” marking his first release that is entirely his own creation from start to finish. Drawing inspiration from grunge and alternative rock legends such as Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden, Barbaros channels that raw ’90s spirit while infusing his work with a distinctive character and honest songwriting approach.

Having previously released albums with several notable bands and with a new EP on the way with Seers, this solo venture represents a significant artistic milestone. The track was recorded entirely in his home studio in London through an instinctive DIY process, with Barbaros performing all vocals, guitars, and bass himself while programming the drums via MIDI—prioritizing feel and energy over studio polish.

Barbaros Evin – “Blue Eyed Wolf” Review 🎸

Barbaros Evin‘s “Blue Eyed Wolf” looks like a throwback to first-rate parts of ’90s alt-rock, yet not stuck in nostalgia mode Guitars that familiar grunge-heavy, distorted and slightly moody, at the same time as vocals sit right in the mix with a hard, sincere side you can tell Personal identity was given, built more on feeling than polish

What I stand most proud of is balance. The music hits hard without turning into noise and stays melodic without being tender to get out. Evin‘s vocals do a number of the heavy lifting right here, gritty enough in shape to have a grunge feel yet still manage. It’s a song that works best out loud, and nothing else catches your interest. If you grew up on ’90s alt-rock or just get over that sound, ‘Blue Eyed Wolf’ is worth the short time it asks for.
