colourshop: Intimate Music with Emotional Depth
colourshop is the musical project of London-based singer songwriter Alfredo, who crafts intimate, emotionally resonant songs that draw from a rich palette of influences including Damien Rice, Kings of Convenience, Lianne La Havas, John Mayer, and Tom Misch. Working from his home studio, Alfredo creates deeply personal music that explores life’s full spectrum of emotions, both joyous and melancholic.
For this release, he collaborated with producers Jason Boshoff and Oscar Bragado at RoomTo Studio in Barcelona, carefully developing arrangements that preserve the raw, intimate essence of his songwriting. Currently based in Barcelona, colourshop represents an artist unafraid to channel profound personal experiences into his music, creating work that resonates with authenticity and emotional depth.

colourshop – “Old Man”: A Warm Folk-Pop Gem
Ok, so I pressed play on “Old Man” using colourshop waiting for a pleasant little history tune, and I ended up stopping what I was doing just to pay attention. I don’t see that very often. The acoustic guitar is soft and unhurried, with a mellow band hiding behind it, and the singer sounds like he’s telling you something authentic This is folk pop at its friendliest, clean and sincere, with a slight indie charm that makes it feel private.
The tune sticks with you pushing out, like a breath of fresh air after a long day and relaxing inside the beautiful. I can imagine it alternately playing out on a Sunday morning, a wet walk, or a drive home yesterday with the windows cracked. It deserves more ears than it has. If you adore the heat, gentle singer-songwriter track, do yourself a favor and give it a tour. I’ll be amazed if you don’t beat the game again.
