YesaYa “D.P.W.M” – Fresh UK Rap and Hip-Hop Music
Some tracks waste no time, as evidenced by “D.P.W.M” through YesaYa. Within seconds, the entice beat locks in, heavy and clean, and the UK rap drift slides right over the top with general confidence. His delivery is sharp, relaxed and full of personality, a vocal form that sounds like a large stage even though the song feels close and private
Clocking in at just under 3 minutes, the track is tight, punchy and impeccably paced. Every bar lands with inspiration, the rhythm bounces in all the appropriate places, and the hook is easily considered and then the easiest listen. What I appreciate most is the balance. It has the swagger and power you want from hip-hop, but never feels pressured or overdone. YesaYa is hungry, focused, and his sound totally sounds at home, and that’s what makes this launch so interesting. If you enjoy cutting-edge UK rap with a snare side and a real person, this tune is a clean recommendation. Turn the bass over.
